The Power Of Repentance – How To Pray A Prayer of Repentance to Remove Any Consequences Against You

Repentance is a free gift from God. We GET to repent. It’s a treasure! True prophets will always tell you to repent and turn from your wicked ways in order to get ready for the next amazing thing God is doing. It’s a time to prepare the way of the coming miracle, to prepare the way of the Lord, and to prepare the way of God’s glory.

When praying prayers of repentance, it’s important to pray targeted prayers such as, “I repent for the sin of gossiping about so and so. I’m sorry about doing or saying such and such.”

Once your sins are under the blood of Jesus Christ, the Bible says they’re remembered no more for God’s sake—not yours, his—because he doesn’t want to look at your sin anymore, and he wants to bring you into Heaven with him. So when you repent of your sins, you ask Jesus to get his blood on your sin and wash it away and erase it forever and then to release you from all consequences of your sin.

You can watch the video teaching about  the power of repentance below, and then use the prayer I’ve provided to assist you in your own repentance to clear the way for what God wants to do in and through you.

Prayer of Repentance

Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent for the sin of _____.  I come before you, Father God, in Jesus’ name, and I’m sorry for sinning against you by doing/saying _____. I ask the Lord Jesus to put his blood on my sin of _____ and wash it away and erase it forever. Father God, I ask for your grace, mercy, and forgiveness. I ask you, Father, that now that the blood of Jesus is on my sin that it is remembered no more for your sake, and that it be wiped away from the heavens and the earth forever. I ask you, Father God, to release me from all consequences of my sin because the blood of Jesus Christ is on it. I ask you, Father God, that anything that the devil has been using against me because of my sin of _____, that you would silence him, by the blood of Jesus, and strip him of any legal right. I receive the blood of Jesus right now to speak for me so that the devil can never use this sin against me ever again, and, even if he tries, I will remind him that it’s under the blood of Jesus. Amen.
