Prayer To Stand In The Gap For Loved Ones Who Refuse To Forgive

A viewer asked the following question on a recent broadcast: “Can unforgiveness cause sickness, like cancer?” 

Annamarie: Absolutely, YES! Unforgiveness is connected to bitterness, and the Bible says, “Bitterness eats away at the bones and the marrow.” Now, you take the word of God and you realize why Jesus said, “Forgive, forgive, forgive, forgive, forgive. Hold no bitterness, no offense, and no unforgiveness towards anyone.” Not just because it’s a sin but because it causes sickness. The Bible says that bitterness will eat away at the bones and the marrow. Our bones and bone marrow make red blood cells, healthy cells that fight against cancer and disease. 

So if a person is holding bitterness, anger, unforgiveness, or offense, it directly affects their health. Those aren’t my words. That is the word of God. So if you know a person who just will not forgive – they’re holding bitterness, anger, and offense towards a person, and they’re struggling with an infirmity, you can stand in the gap for that person. You can’t just bind the spirit of infirmity off of them. You have to get to the root of that infirmity.

Pray Out Loud

Holy Spirit, my helper, in Jesus’ name, will You lead _______ to repentance? Holy Spirit, do what only You can do. Convict him/her of his/her sins of unforgiveness, bitterness, offense, and anger, and lead him/her to repentance – a free gift for all of us. I thank You, Holy Spirit. You are faithful. You are my helper. Thank You, Father, for sending the Holy Spirit to help me with _______. 

Father, I present _______ to You, and I place him/her in the blood of Jesus. I stand in the gap for him/her, and I ask You to move him/her from the courtroom of judgment to the throne of grace and mercy, so he/she will be under grace and mercy while Your Holy Spirit works on him/her. I ask You to lift the veils off of his/her eyes and give him/her eyes of understanding. Enlighten his/her heart. I stand in the gap for him/her right now, and I bind the spirit of unforgiveness. I bind the spirit of anger. I bind the spirit of offense. I bind the spirit of bitterness. I bind the spirit of infirmity. 

And I loose and release the spirit of life on them. I loose the spirit of the living God on them. I loose dunamis power of the Holy Ghost on them. I release resurrection power on them to do a work in them and to bring them to their knees in repentance, in Jesus’ name.

For issues of the heart, we must repent for the sins of our heart so that our heart can be healed and restored. Put your hand on your heart and pray the following prayer.

Pray Out Loud

Heavenly Father, Father God, I thank You for my heart. In Jesus’ name, I repent for all sins of the heart. I repent for putting my heart on things that are not of You, God. I repent, Father God, for allowing people to hurt my heart. I repent, Father God, for not keeping my heart focused on You and Your goodness. Lord Jesus, I ask You to cleanse my heart with Your precious blood, and, Lord, according to Your word, create in me clean hands and a pure heart. Cleanse me of all defilement of my heart by Your precious blood, Jesus. I believe I have a brand new heart. 

Father God, I ask You now to take my heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh. Father God, I ask You right now to give me a heart to know Your heart for I am a woman/man after Your own heart. My heart is healed. My heart is whole. My heart is shalom, nothing missing, nothing lacking, and nothing broken. When my doctor checks my heart he’ll be amazed at how young and healthy my heart is, and I will have a good report and share this testimony with many others.

Father God, my heart exalts You now and forever, and You have healed my heart. My heart belongs to You, Father God, in Jesus’ name. Amen and amen.

The Lord showed me how to pray over the eyes if we’re having any issues with our eyes or vision. Our eyes are gates – eye gates – and, either willingly or unwillingly, sinful things, traumatic things, or evil things have gone into our eye gates. These things defile the eyes. This is the same with the mouth, ears, and all the gates of the body. 

The first thing the Lord wants us to do is to repent for those gates, whether we knowingly or unknowingly allowed traumatic, evil, unholy, or ungodly things in our eye gates.

Put your hands on your eyes and pray the following prayer.

Pray Out Loud

Heavenly Father, Father God, I come to You humbly, in Jesus’ name, and I repent for the sins of my eye gates. I repent for every evil, unholy, ungodly demonic thing that ever went into my eye gates, knowingly or unknowingly. I ask You, Jesus, to cleanse my eyes and my eye gates with Your blood. Lord Jesus, sanctify, cleanse, and redeem my eyes and my eye gates. By the power of the blood of Jesus, I believe my eyes and my eye gates are now washed and cleansed of all sin, of all evil, of all trauma, and of all defilement by the blood of Jesus. 

I proclaim my eyes and my eye gates have been made new and holy by the blood of Jesus Christ. I feel the blood of Jesus washing over my eyes, cleansing them, healing them, redeeming them, and making them better than ever before. Any unholy, ungodly, unclean thing must leave my eyes right now, by the authority of Jesus Christ and by the power of His blood. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus.

Father God, I ask that my eyes and my eye gates now be released of all consequences of sins and be released of any demonic attacks because of the blood of Jesus. I proclaim that, by the blood of Jesus, my eyes are healed. I have perfect eyesight physically and spiritually. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your precious blood. Thank You, Father God, for my healing. 

This is my proclamation: by the blood of Jesus, I am redeemed out of the hand of the devil back into the hand of God and set aside for the plans and purposes of God, all for the glory of God, in Jesus Christ’s name. I proclaim my eyes now see the glory of God, and my testimony of my healing shall bless many more people for You, Lord God, are my Jehovah Rapha, my healer. I believe it is done. I’m ready to give a good report about my eyes. I believe they are healed, in Jesus’ name. Amen and amen.

On a recent broadcast a viewer requested prayer for a friend who was having an issue with their liver, specifically the bile ducts, which caused the liver to be unable to drain and created scarring of the liver.

The Holy Spirit downloaded a prayer right then for this specific issue, but you can take this prayer and apply it to any organ of your body that is having any type of dysfunction. 

We take authority in Christ Jesus. Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you believe He died for Your sins on the Cross and shed His blood to purchase us back into the hand of God, and that we have everything of the kingdom of God available to us – signs, wonders, miracles, authority (even over our own bodies, over every cell in our bodies right down to our DNA and RNA)? We can take authority over that. Do you believe that today? Do you believe Jesus rose from the dead with the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit, and that same resurrection power lives in you to completely restore every organ in your body? Do you believe this today?! 

Put your hand over whatever organ that is experiencing dysfunction and pray in faith and declare your healing now!

By the authority of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, my Lord and my King, in whom I am seated I place myself – mind, body, soul, and spirit – in the blood of Jesus Christ. I place every cell of my body right down to my DNA and my RNA in the blood of Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, I activate the power and the authority of the blood of Jesus Christ into my _______. I command, by the authority of Jesus Christ, every cell of my _______ to come into divine order now and the Word of God. 

I am fearfully and wonderfully made! I am made in the image of God. My _______ is in the image of God – brand new. I call upon the Holy Spirit. I invite You, Holy Spirit, Spirit of Life, to come inside me and overtake me and overtake every organ in my body. Overtake every cell in my body. I give You permission, Holy Spirit, to bring every cell, every organ, right down to my DNA and my RNA, into divine order. 

In the mighty name and the authority of Jesus Christ, I decree and declare I am healed. I am whole. I am shalem – nothing missing, nothing lacking, nothing broken. I command my _______ to (What does it need to do to function normally? Drain, be free of infection, be free of pain, be free of inflammation, return to normal size, etc?) now and all toxins to be loosed out of my _______ now and and be flushed out of my body. Every toxin that is being held in my _______, be flushed out of my body now, in the name and authority of Jesus Christ!

My _______ has been made new. By the stripes of Jesus Christ, I am healed. I walk in complete and total wholeness. I am whole. I seal these prayers in the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank You, Father God. Thank You, Lord Jesus. Thank You, Holy Spirit. I’m in expectation of Your glory, God. My doctors will be astonished. They will say it’s like I have a new _______. My new _______ has cometh – like new, even better than before – in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen and amen!

By the blood of Jesus Christ, I have been redeemed out of the hand of the devil. I am back in the hand of God, and I am set aside for the plans and purposes of God, all for the glory of God! By the blood of Jesus Christ, my words shall not return void. They shall prosper for which they are sent, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name!

Note: Follow up with taking Communion, and then declare, “By the stripes of Jesus Christ, I am healed.”

Are you or a loved one struggling with grief and loss? Watch the video below and pray this powerful prayer filling in the blanks with the correct names and pronouns, as the case may be, for the one(s) in need of deliverance from a stronghold of grief!

 

Pray Out Loud

  • “Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I lift (myself/ _______) up to You, and I place (myself/him/her) in the blood of Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, release the power of Your blood over (my/_______’s) mind, body, soul, and spirit. Father God, I ask, in the name of Jesus Christ, that You would send Your ministering angels to (me/_______) right now, – the same angels that ministered to our Lord in the garden – to minister to (me/him/her), to strengthen (me/him/her), and to pull off any arrows, daggers, knives, spikes – anything of the enemy. Remove all heaviness from (me/him/her). Remove every yoke of grief off of (me/him/her). 

 

  • Holy Spirit, I invite You and give You permission for a fresh anointing right now, for it is written, “The anointing breaks the yoke.” I command every yoke of grief to come off of (me/_______) now. (I/He/She) is only yoked to Jesus Christ, and His burden is easy, light, and joyful. (I/He/She) will know that (my/his/her) loved one is now in (my/his/her) cloud of witnesses in Heaven witnessing to the prayers of Jesus Christ for (me/him/her). (I/_______) will be strong and courageous and faithful and go forward and fulfill (my/his/her) purpose for the Lord and (my/his/her) faith will not fail (me/him/her), in Jesus Christ’s name.” 

The Bible says that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses in Hebrews Chapter 12. Those are our loved ones that have gone before us and that are believers in Jesus Christ, and our children are taken right to Heaven. They’re in our cloud of witnesses. They are witnessing to your life. They’re witnessing to the prayers of Jesus Christ for you so that you will fulfill your purpose for the Lord, and so Jesus doesn’t want the grief to hold you back. He wants you to keep moving forward doing what He’s called you to do and even doing it in a way that you know your loved one is cheering you on now because it says the great cloud of witnesses is cheering you on to the victory, and you’re going to finish this race strong now. You’re going to finish this race strong! Your loved one is cheering you on from Heaven. 

I say this with love because I understand, but if we stay in grief too long, it keeps us from fulfilling our purpose for Jesus, and you don’t want the enemy to keep you in grief too long. How do we get this grief off of us? We’ve got to put it on the cross. 

Put Your Hands On Your Heart And Pray This Out Loud

  • “King Jesus, I invite you to step into this moment of time and redeem (me/_______). Redeem (my/his/her) mind, will, emotions. Redeem (my/his/her) heart. Redeem (my/his/her) soul, and be made manifest in it with Your glory light, Your joy, Your peace, Your shalom, and right now, I grab ahold of this grief that is in (my/_______’s) heart and in (my/his/her) soul, and I grab it off of (me/him/her) and place it on Your Cross, Jesus, and release it to You, Lord, in Jesus Christ’s name.”

Release it to Him. Release it off your soul. Release it off your spirit. Release that grief off your memories, and off of your cells. It’s on the Cross of Jesus now.

Now Hold Out Your Hands And Declare Out Loud 

  • “King Jesus, thank you for taking (my/_______’s) grief upon You, and now (I/_______) receive(s) of the joy of the Lord upon (me/him/her). (I/_______) receive(s) of the healing of the Lord upon (me/him/her). (I/_______) receive(s) a brand new healed heart. (My/His/Her) soul is healed and exalts the Lord. (I/He/She) think(s) on the joyous memories, in Jesus Christ’s name.”

Just receive of the joy of the Lord. Receive of the peace of the Lord. 

Declare Out Loud

  • “Lord, Your Word says that You are the Son of Righteousness that comes with healing in His wings, in His beams, and (I/_______) have/has so much joy. (I’m/He’s/She’s) like a calf released from the stall in a pasture, so I decree and declare that the Son of Righteousness has come upon (me/_______) with healing in His wings and in His beam. I pray this all in Jesus Christ’s name.”

Receive that healing light into your heart and into your soul. Receive of the joy of the Lord. You shall go forth in joy like a calf let out from the stall, jumping and leaping and singing for joy because the Son of Righteousness – King Jesus – has you.

Your loved one’s memory is a blessing. You focus on the good memories. They are cheering you on right now, and Jesus has taken this heaviness off of you. He’s taken this burden off of you because it’s time for you to go forward in your purpose.
