“Remove The Scales Off The Eyes Prayer” 

With this prayer, Jesus will remove the scales from their eyes and encounter them with a “Damascus Road” experience like Paul had in Acts Chapter 9. We take that text and truth from the word and speak it over their life, in faith. Jesus is showing you a prayer strategy according to His word. Keep speaking it and believing this to come upon them, and the Holy Spirit will begin to move things around to bring this to pass at the perfect moment. We don’t worry about the “how” and the “when”, we just know Jesus will do it in the perfect moment. 

Pray Out Loud

•  “My Lord Jesus Christ, You are no respecter of persons. You are the same yesterday, today and forever. In Your name, Lord, I ask that You would encounter _______ like you did Saul on the Damascus Road in Acts Chapter 9, and suddenly knock the scales off _______ eyes! Speak loudly to _______, and reveal Your truth and light to _______ and their true identity in You, Lord Jesus, just as You did with Saul who then became Paul and had clarity of his calling for your Kingdom! 

• “Lord Jesus, You did this for Paul and I am asking you in humble faith to do this for _______! I don’t know how or when You are going to do this, but I know You are going to do this! I am ready to witness this in their life to glorify You, Lord, and fully serve You, Lord Jesus, in their divine purpose! I believe it is done and You, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit and Angels on Assignment, and Divine Laborers, are being set in place arranging this moment for _______ in YOUR perfect timing and I will not doubt! 

• “I will prepare and be obedient in my purpose and calling for You, Lord, while I await _______ to join me and our family in faith together in worshipping You and serving You, Lord Jesus, and your Kingdom! Most of all, Lord Jesus, I know You are with us all the way! 

• “Lord, fill me with Your strength, light, and understanding to continue in this journey of growth and spiritual maturity as I have to go the distance with Your calling for me and believe for my loved one _______. I will be ready to take them as partners to support, bless, and encourage the calling we each have for Your Kingdom here in the earth when You bring them to the light and understanding! 

• “Please remove any scales off my eyes of understanding that need to be removed too, Lord Jesus, just as you did with Paul and those you brought around him, and that both _______ and I will clearly hear Your voice, Lord Jesus, just as Paul and those you put around him did! So be it, In Your name, Lord Jesus.

• “According to Acts 9:18, I prophesy by faith according to Your word, Lord, that this will happen to _______, like Paul: And immediately something like scales fell from _______ eyes, and _______ regained sight. Then _______ arose and was baptized in the Holy Spirit! 

 

• “Lord Jesus Christ, please remove any scales, veils, or darkness blocking _______’s spiritual sight. Forgive them for the times they have missed Your truth or followed their own way. Open _______’s eyes to see Your beauty, Your Word, and Your plan for their life. Take away fear and confusion, and fill _______ with Your light and wisdom, in Jesus’ name. Amen.” 

Note: The conversion of Paul (then known as Saul) on the road to Damascus is a major event in the New Testament. As Saul traveled to arrest early Christians, a bright light from heaven flashed around him, he fell to the ground, and he heard the voice of Jesus asking why he was persecuting Him. Saul held papers from the high priest to find and arrest followers of Jesus in Damascus. A sudden, brilliant light shone from the sky. Jesus spoke, saying, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” When Saul asked who was speaking, the Lord replied, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting”. Saul rose from the ground and found that he was blind. His traveling companions led him by the hand into Damascus. Saul fasted and prayed for three days. A disciple named Ananias then visited him, prayed for him, and his sight was restored: Saul was baptized, changed his life completely, and began preaching that Jesus is the Son of God.
