The Difference Between Pride And A Victory Mindset
There has been much talk about President Trump being prideful. Even Christian leaders have called for the people to pray that he will be more humble and even to pray against “pride” because he stands strong on his convictions and pushes through “his plans” in spite of what other people think or feel about it. This is not “pride” in President Trump, this is a Victorious Mindset.
We must understand that the religious spirit does not like people with confidence and a victorious mindset that questions their “rules” that keep people weak and complacent. Jesus did the same thing. The Pharisees did not like Jesus’ confidence and did not like him encouraging the people to be confident in their minds with God because they could not “control” that. It’s a religious pharisee spirit.
Pride is something that is evident in people who are actually takers, not givers. Victorious people love to share in the spoils of victory. Humility is actually when a person wants to share in the blessings and help others. Victorious people want to have a reminder of victory all around them, to stay focused on victory to keep encouraging them in the battles. The trophy case is not a prideful thing, it’s a reminder that you can win and encourages you to keep going and use it as an example to others.
Prideful people do not want to encourage others to be winners. They call out those who are actually winners as “prideful” as a warning to others not to be winners! That’s the difference. Jesus warned us of prideful people who we should not throw our pearls to, as they would just trample on them and never encourage us to be better. Jesus encouraged us to encourage and “build each other up” –1 Thessalonians 5:11. That is not pride, it’s a victorious mindset.
When Jesus called me to ministry, He specifically said His people do not know how to be victorious for the Kingdom, and Jesus wanted me to teach people how to be victorious for the Kingdom. I had to learn the difference between “pride” and a “victorious mind”.
Pride is when you want to control others and force them into your thinking. A victorious mindset is when you become an example for others to be successful and encourage them so that they can be successful too because you want them to be blessed. I look at people like President Trump and his family. They all have a victorious mindset and look to build up others, especially our Nation and most of all a focus on our children.
Discerning the difference: Prideful people twist words like leviathan whom Jesus called a lying twisting serpent to control and manipulate. They make it sound good, but it’s not truth. Victorious people speak the truth like it is even if it offends, like Jesus did.
When Trump speaks of being a winner and others being losers, he is only speaking of those he considers enemies of the people, not just himself. He is doing this to wake people up to the truth like Jesus did when He called Herod a fox and the Pharisees vipers. Every time, we find out that Trump was right about those people because he calls it like it is. Jesus did the same thing!
Pride is an evil spirit that comes inside a person that thinks they can do better than God, they even want to challenge God, “did God really say?” like the snake in the Garden. Victorious people point to God and want to see God win and God’s people win.
Trump does love success, and he loves the things of success, and he speaks positive words over himself and his life. He was a parishioner of Norman Vincent Peale’s church as a youth and learned the biblical truth “as a man speaketh so he is” and the power of positive thinking. (Proverbs 23:7) Trump is quoted through the years, “If you are going to be thinking, think big.” Thinking big is not prideful, it’s actually Biblical. Mark 9:23: All things are possible for those who believe.
Trump is a believer in Jesus Christ and has pointed to Jesus in many of his speeches. He has been known to ask Church leaders why they have not stood up against evil agendas and realized many of them felt bound by being a 501c3 tax exemption, and Trump alleviated that 501c3 status so more church leaders could speak up freely against evil in the government and not fear that their churches would be shut down.
Trump has also rewarded many Christian warriors and loves bold preaching and also boldly put our US Embassy in Jerusalem. He is not prideful, he is fearless. He loves to see rewards for his work. It pushes him to keep a winning mindset and not grow weary.
King David did that. King David liked “rewards”. Remember, as a boy, he asked what the reward was for taking out Goliath? Trump is the same way! That’s why he is the King David of our time. God is reminding us how to be winners!
Jesus said we are victorious gatekeepers! The gates of hell will not prevail against us, and that takes confidence. We have to get out of the “doormat” mentality and step into our role as door keepers by taking possession of the land and territory for Christ and making it better for the people to do the works of the Kingdom and that takes wealth and success and Victorious Mindset.
This is why we are in the timing of the transference of wealth. Not to accumulate to be prideful misers, but to share it and use it for the Kingdom of God and prepare the bride of Christ, to rebuild the waste places and make them beautiful again. (Isaiah 61) Jesus is a builder! So we should be too!
We, as the Church, must be confident and have a victorious mindset and boldness.
God sent Trump to remind us, and I am honored to help!
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.
— Hebrews 10:35
No more wimpy church!
The demons are screaming and freaking out because a confident, victorious church is arising. President Trump is chosen by God for this time to help the church become what she is meant to be – a sparkling, bold, beautiful, confident, victorious bride! That’s not pride, that’s establishing a path of victory for the bride!
THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN US, AND WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST!
Let’s be ready for Jesus to see His bride so incredibly beautiful and victorious that makes Him proud of us in a way of a good proud, a well-done, loving proud because we understood the power to be victorious was with us the whole time, and that He died for us to have it. We did not squander it. We occupy for Jesus and prepare His Kingdom here to dwell with us on the earth! We take the Kingdom by force meaning because Jesus already won it for us, it’s been given to us by our King of Kings, here in the earth!
VICTORY IS OURS, AND WE HAVE TO BE BOLD FOR JESUS WITH NO EXCUSES OR APOLOGIES. JUST DO IT (and ignore the Pharisees)!
Keep on winning! It’s not pride, it’s your purpose and portion through Christ. We can all learn from President Trump how to be winners and know that’s our purpose to use each victory to build and accelerate the Kingdom of God on the earth.
